i would still consider myself a fairly new deacon got ordained a yr ago. um...... where is the best place to start memorizing hymns...my literacy of reading coptic is mediocre but i am still able to manage... um..... it is hard to keep up with the speed at which some of these hymns go...... and i suck at memorizing b/c i have a bad short term memory... usually cannot memorize short numbers.. codes cell phone #.. etc.... so i can only imagine how it would be to memorize a tune.....um......any advice would be much appreciated.
